91 pts Vinous (Galloni): The 2021 Carema Etichetta Nera is a blend from south-facing parcels in the northern section of town. Dark macerated cherry, spice, tobacco, incense, blood orange and cinnamon are front and center. The 2021 spent 30 months in French oak. I am not sure the wine benefits from so much new oak or the lengthy aging. Even so, the Etichetta Nera is silky, ready to drink and wonderfully complex.
