2023 Domaine de Vaccelli, Ajaccio Blanc 750ml

The domaine is now 20 hectares in size, all vineyard work is done by hand, and as of 2008, all vineyard work is organic. Vines are ten to sixty years of age.

Using indigenous yeasts and direct pressing, the wine is then aged for one year in 500L demi-muids on gross lees (about 10% new oak), then aged for seven months in stainless steel tanks. Bottled at the Estate with a light clay collage if necessary but always with filtration. Unfined and filtered only if necessary.

The modernised Corsican viticulture at the Domaine de Vaccelli and its typical Corsican grape varieties are the pillars of the Ajaccio appellation and terroir. They are determined to maintain their principles set in 2008 with a focus on manually harvesting and organic farming. The vineyard became certified organic in 2019.
